The MSD7831 is a highly integrated, low-cost and high performance SoC for high-definition cable STB (Set-Top
Box) applications. It is configured with DVB-C demodulator, a multi-format audio and video decoder which is
capable of decoding MPEG-1/2/4, H.264 (ISO/IEC 14496-10), VC-1, AVS/AVS+ and one Smart Card interafce. It
has a digital video encoder that can support CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr output. For digital output, the MSD7831 also
has a built-in HDMI 1.4b compliant transmitter.
With the built-in high performance MIPS74Kf CPU and DDR3 SDRAM controller, the MSD7831 can fulfill the
requirement of modern multimedia applications.
