The MSD7T01 is a highly integrated, cost-effective and high performance SoC for high-definition STB (Set-Top
Box) applications. It is configured with DVB-T and DVB-T2 demodulator, a multi-format audio and video decoder
which is capable of decoding MPEG-1/2/4, H.264 (ISO/IEC 14496-10), VC-1, and a smartcard interafce. It has a
digital video encoder supporting CVBS, S-Video, and YPbPr output. For digital output, the MSD7T01 also has a
built-in HDMI 1.4a compliant transmitter.

For multimedia applications, the MSD7T01 includes one USB 2.0 host controller, making it possible for the
MSD7T01 to decode and record media files via those sources from external storage devices. With built-in highperformance MIPS34Kf CPU and DDR2 SDRAM controller, the MSD7T01 can fulfill the requirement of modern
multimedia applications.
For traditional software-based Conditional Access System (SW CAS) applications, MSD7T01 provides the Common
Scrambling Algorithm version 2 (DVB-CSA v2) capability and it is compliant with ETR289.
